TINPUQ: Pukara Alto, Tipón

We start the adventure in the morning and head to the southern area of the Cusco valley, specifically to the community of Choquepata, the starting point of our hike. We begin our walk with a gradual ascent along a well-marked trail from the road until we reach our first stop, the archaeological complex of Pukara Alto. Along the way, we will pass through fields of crops and observe ancient chullpas that were once Inca tombs. From this point, the trail is very easy as we cross to the other side of the complex to visit one of the most impressive ceremonial centers of the Incas, a unique site that will show us the advanced level of hydraulic engineering that the ancient Peruvians achieved to worship their gods. We will explore the entire archaeological complex of Tipón, enjoying unique views from the highest points. After the visit, we will take the opportunity to recharge with a light lunch and rest a bit in the area. Next, we will descend along the main Inca path of the village, recently recovered and restored by the Ministry of Culture. Along the way, we will enjoy beautiful views offered by the area. Finally, we will take our transport back to the hotel.
