PUMATAMPU: Pumamarka, Ollantaytambo

The adventure begins in one of the most mysterious and lonely places in the Patakancha Valley with the ancient Pre-Inca town of Pumamarka, a walled enclosure strategically located on top of the mountain, from where we can appreciate the beautiful valley that cuts the mountain chain from the eastern Andes of Peru. After an interesting interpretation of the place, we will begin the descent along an ancient Inca trail that will offer us endless agricultural platforms that will show us the skill of the Andean man to adapt to its geography and will accompany us until we reach the Inca town of Ollantaytambo, to walk through its old streets until we reach its main square where we will have lunch. After a short rest, we end the day in the best way by visiting its religious center which has a set of steps to reach the most important and impressive area of the archaeological center which is the Temple of the Sun. Finally, we will take the transportation that will take us back to the hotel.
