KACHIPAMPA: Moray, Maras salt mines

Traverse the trails in an entertaining way where you will learn the history and the incredible landscapes on two wheels. The adventure begins in the town of Chacán, from where we will cross the typical cultivation fields of the area until we reach the enigmatic terraces of Moray, where we will learn a little more about their possible use in ancient times. We continue through a mixed technical trail on the Maras plateau to reach the lunch spot, here we take the opportunity to rest and enjoy the rich local cuisine. After lunch, we start the descent to the Salt mines of Maras, unique in Peru, where ancestral work systems are still preserved to produce the famous “Pink Salt of the Andes”. The tour will end in the town of Pichingoto located at the bottom of the valley. Finally, after a short break, we will take the transportation that will take us back to the hotel.
